Ramon Vilalta, Carme Pigem y Rafael Aranda pusieron sus iniciales al proyecto al que han dedicado su vida, RCR Arquitectes. Los tres habían ido al mismo colegio en su ciudad natal, Olot, pero no se conocieron hasta que comenzaron a estudiar en la Escuela de Arquitectura del Vallès. Tras graduarse a finales de los años ochenta regresan a Olot para establecer su estudio.
